There are several restaurants on property. But you’ll enjoy it when you are in the room.ĭo you travel with your pets? The JW Marriott Turnberry is a pet-friendly resort, with an additional fee. There’s so much going on at the resort, so you likely won’t spend too much time in your room. It’s bright and modern, and the room was extremely comfortable. A nightly resort fee includes a shuttle to the nearby beach and Aventura Mall, as well as access to the brand-new Tidal Cove water park. Turndown service is offered at the resort. I hadn’t seen this system before, but I really loved it. That way, you have time to get into bed before it’s completely dark. There’s a convenient lighting system where the lights go off slowly when you turn them off. Rooms include lots of fabulous luxury amenities, including complimentary WiFi, a desk, plenty of outlets for your devices, comfortable beds, large marble bathrooms, a mini bar, and Keurig coffee makers. I loved sitting on my private balcony overlooking the golf courses. The golf view room I had was absolutely beautiful. Room types include resort, golf, and ocean view rooms, king rooms, double rooms, and suites. All of the towers are extremely convenient to all of the resort amenities. My room was a golf view room in the 325 room Orchid tower. This includes the brand-new Orchid tower. Day passes also include access to the water park’s two new restaurants: Surf House Bar and Grill, a 142-seat open-air eatery with upscale seafood fare and Freestyle, a quick-service food shack featuring pizza and house-made gelato.There are several different towers at the JW Marriott Turnberry, with a total of 685 rooms. There’s also a Kid’s Cove playground, a zero-entry swimming pool, a lazy river stretching an eighth of a mile through tropical foliage, and luxury cabanas and day beds for rental. Can’t surf? The hotel’s professional Flowiders, Nate Murray and Josh Soto, charge $60 for 30-minute lessons ($45 for additional riders). There’s also a FlowRider Triple surf simulation pool, featuring three surfing areas for visitors to practice surfing, bodyboarding, skateboarding, skimboarding, wakeboarding and snowboarding. Drop feet-first down a luge with two Aqua Drop body slides (348 and 286 feet long, respectively), or race side-by-side on the Boomeranger, a 377-footer for two-to-four riders on rafts. On the 266-foot-long double slide Whizzard, riders plunge headfirst down a mat. There’s the Constrictor, a 558-foot-long slide on water rafts that drops, twists and turns alongside the Master Blaster, a 486-foot slide. The centerpiece of Tidal Cove’s aquatic fun is its 60-foot-tall water slide tower, which boasts seven water slides. The new Tidal Cover Waterpark, inside the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort and Spa in Aventura, is now open with a 60-foot-tall water tower with seven water slides, along with a surf simulation pool and a lazy river.
